Dr. Nordstrom Suite
$125/135 per night, plus tax

Named after the doctor who ran The Colony Hospital, this suite is the perfect choice for a romantic anniversary, birthday or honeymoon, special occasion or for a winter getaway. It features a double whirlpool Jacuzzi tub (with shower), plush towels, and spa bath fragrance. The suite includes a separate kitchenette/dining area with a separate bedroom. Perfect for longer stays, this suite has a closet in the bedroom and extra bedside lamp. The Dr. Nordstrom Suite is located on the first floor in the back of the inn, providing direct access to the porch for quiet reflection or visiting. Check out Dr. Nordstrom’s picture and judge for yourself the resemblance between him and Lowell.

Anders Bergland Suite
$125/135 per night, plus tax

Named after one of the first Bishop Hill colonists and leaders, this suite offers the most privacy as it is on the second floor of the inn. The Anders Bergland Suite is our largest suite with a separate bright and sunny bedroom, spacious kitchenette and a roomy private bath with claw foot tub and hand-held shower. Step onto the private screened-in back porch (shared with the owners) to enjoy your morning coffee or tea and breakfast or to view the beautiful sun setting on the distant rolling hills (the best view in the village). The Anders Bergland Suite also includes use of our dry hydromassage table. Relax and soothe your aches and pains away. Then indulge in long soaks in the tub. This suite has a larger TV (19 inch) and also has a closet in the bedroom, convenient for longer stays and a full-length mirror.

Jonas Olson Suite
$100/110 per night, plus tax

Named after Eric Janson’s closest associate and the colony leader after Eric Janson’s death, this suite features a separate bedroom and separate kitchenette/dining area. The roomy private bath features a claw foot tub and shower. A warm and cozy suite, this is Judith’s favorite room in the inn. The Jonas Olson Suite is located on the first floor in the back of the inn and provides direct access to the back porch for relaxing in one of our comfy rockers.

Dr. Blomberg Room
$90/100 per night, plus tax

Named after Bishop Hill’s first Colony doctor, and located in the front of the house, this is one of our largest guest rooms and able to accommodate a rollaway bed (twin) for a 3rd adult. The room includes kitchenette facilities en suite with dining table and chairs. This room is a favorite among our guests who need the convenience of a walk-in shower in their private bath. The Dr. Blomberg Room has an extra sitting chair and lamp for relaxing or reading. This room connects with the Jonas Olson Suite when needed, ideal for guests traveling together. There is an additional charge of $20 for a 3rd person.

Policies

The Colony Hospital Bed and Breakfast is open year round. Reservations are recommended especially during the season (April through December). Feel free to call about vacancies if inspired for a last minute getaway. All reservations are secured with a credit card, Visa or MasterCard. Guest rooms can accommodate only 2 persons per room, unless stated otherwise.

Payment: Payment is due in full upon arrival. Credit cards, (Visa or MasterCard), check or cash are accepted. Room rates do not include the state and county hotel taxes (add another 11%).

Cancellation Policy: Should your plans change, please call or email us as soon as possible. If reservations are cancelled 15 days prior to your scheduled visit, there will be no charge. Cancellations with less than 15 days notice will be charged the room rate unless the room is re-booked. If you have booked 3 or more rooms, 30 days cancellation notice is required. If less notice is given, the room rates will be charged for rooms that cannot be re-booked. “No shows” will be charged for the entire amount of the reservation.

Children: Because most of our guests are couples on a getaway or celebrating an anniversary, we no longer accept reservations from families accompanied by children under 10 years old. Please call us if you have any questions or if you want to book a reservation during an off time or day, we'll see what we can do to accommodate your family. Thank you for your understanding.

Arrival and Departure: Check-in is between 3-6 pm on Fridays and Saturdays and 4-7 pm on Sundays through Thursdays, unless prior arrangements are made. Please call or email if your arrival will be outside the above times or if delayed. Check-out is 11 am. Late check-outs are subject to an additional charge.

Gift Certificates: For that perfect gift, treat a family member, friend or couple to a stay at The Colony Hospital Bed and Breakfast. Call or email us with your gift certificate room choice. We accept BedandBreakfast.com’s Gift Certificates and Gift Cards.

Smoking: Smoking is not permitted in the inn. Smoking is only permitted outdoors. Please use designated containers for disposal. Thank you for being considerate of our other guests.

Pets: Sorry, but at this time, we cannot accommodate pets.
